Terms of business
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Who we are
These terms apply to services provided by Go DNO, of Blake House, 18 Blake St, York, YO1 8QG. You can contact us at hello@godno.co.uk or on 0800 246 5366, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Who these terms are for
Our services are for installers of solar PV and battery storage systems who are acting in the course of their business. We only work with MCS approved contractors. By placing an order you confirm that you are ordering on behalf of a business and that you accept these terms.
Our service
We prepare and submit G98 notifications and G99 applications to the relevant District Network Operator (DNO) for solar PV and battery storage installations. We submit the application, follow it up, respond to queries from the DNO on your behalf and pass you the approval or acknowledgement for your records. We keep you informed at each stage of the process.
We are an independent service and are not affiliated with any DNO.
Prices and payment
Our price is £99.00 for each G98 notification or G99 application. We handle any number of applications, large or small. Prices are per application and are confirmed when you place your order. All prices are subject to VAT at the standard rate. Our VAT registration number is GB459340182.
Payment terms: payment is due with each application. We prepare and submit the application once payment has been received.
Our price does not include any fee a DNO may charge for processing an application.
Placing an order
You can order by email, by telephone or through the enquiry form on our website. An order is accepted when we confirm it to you. We may decline an order, for example if we cannot complete it from the information provided.
What you need to provide
To prepare an application we need accurate and complete information, including line drawings, panel, inverter and battery details, the site address and the MPAN, together with installer and commissioning details. We rely on the information you give us and are not responsible for errors or omissions in it. If information is missing or incorrect, the application may be delayed or rejected by the DNO.
Your responsibilities as installer
You remain responsible for the design, installation, safety and commissioning of every system and for meeting the requirements of the DNO, MCS and any other relevant standards or regulations. For G99 applications, the system must not be connected until the DNO has approved the application. Our service does not replace your own checks and professional judgement.
The DNO's decisions and timescales
Decisions on applications are made by the DNO, not by us. We cannot guarantee that an application will be approved, that it will be approved without changes or conditions or how long a DNO will take to respond. We are not responsible for delays or decisions that are outside our control.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel an order at any time before we submit the application to the DNO and we will refund any payment made for it. Once an application has been submitted, the work has been done and we are not able to offer a refund. If we make an error that causes an application to be rejected, we will correct it and resubmit it at no extra charge.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or for loss of profit, income, business or opportunity. Our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the price you paid us for the application concerned.
Your information
How we use your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when your order is accepted will apply to that order. The latest version is always on our website.
Law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so that we can try to put it right.
